About BlackVue Viewer

BlackVue Viewer supports all the latest BlackVue models and is compatible with BlackVue Cloud.
For compatibility with older models, check the BlackVue Legacy Viewer on blackvue.com/downloads.

Note: this Viewer contains two applications in one. You can switch between SD Card Viewer and Cloud Viewer anytime.

• The SD Card Viewer lets you view recorded videos from your SD card and modify the settings of your BlackVue, as well as format the SD card.
• The Cloud Viewer lets you enjoy BlackVue Cloud. Check out simple tutorial videos below to see how it works.

Cloud FOTA compatibility (Cloud Viewer):
You can now upgrade your dashcam's firmware over the Cloud.
In Cloud Viewer mode under "My camera(s)" a red dot should appear near your dashcam's name when a new firmware is available.
Tap the 3-dot icon (⋮), then choose "Remote firmware update".
A popup window opens to display information about the new firmware.
Click the "Update now" button to start the firmware upgrade process.

Cloud Privacy update. Privacy by default.

• We have updated every BlackVue Over the Cloud and BlackVue Fleet Tracking dashcam privacy settings to private.
  This is a server-side update.
  Users who wish to share their BlackVue dashcam location, name, video or audio publicly may do so under Cloud Viewer > Option button (vertical ellipsis ⋮ ) next to your dashcam’s name > Camera settings > Privacy Settings.
• Dashcam Cloud registration process update: all public sharing settings are set to private by default when registering a new camera.

Version 2.02:

Added compatibility with new DR900S-2CH Parking Mode Rear Camera Off feature (requires DR900S-2CH firmware version 1.006 and up):

Firmware settings > Basic settings > Rear camera recording in parking mode:

• ON :  Front and rear camera record together.
• OFF : Rear camera stops recording 5 minutes after entering parking mode.
  Recording restarts when entering normal mode.

Version 2.01:

1. Improved Video playback:
   1. Smoother 4K UHD, Full HD 60FPS, HEVC video playback on most hardware configurations.
   2. PIP (Picture-In-Picture) deactivated by default. PIP displays a smaller version of the rear camera in a corner of the screen while playing the front camera footage in full screen. This could slow down playback significantly when playing 4K or Full HD 60FPS videos. By default, PIP is now deactivated but can be activated in the settings.
2. 64-bit support for better performance: the installer will detect automatically which version to install, based on your computer operating system's configuration (32-bit or 64-bit). The 64-bit version further improves video playback performance.
3. BlackVue Viewer Pro features integration (Fleet Tracking account required):
   1. No more separate versions. The BlackVue Viewer now incorporates all the BlackVue Viewer Pro exclusive Fleet Tracking features, like geo-fence setup, 90-day GPS logs export, etc.
   2. To unlock the Fleet Tracking features, just click on the Cloud Viewer button and then log into your Fleet Tracking account (Account button > Login). After logging in, a Fleet tracking button will show up next to the Account button.
4. Notifications log now has its own tab.
5. New Driving Reports feature (BlackVue Fleet Tracking only) for DR750S (Firmware 1.011 and up) and DR900S (Firmware 1.005 and up) models.
   You can now view, print and export to CSV reports on each dashcam including distance traveled, time traveled, idle time, number of Events videos recorded, geo-fence related events, etc. (Fleet Tracking button > Driving reports).

Version 1.22:

Added support for BlackVue DR900S & DR750S Series models features introduced with firmware 1.010 (DR750S) and 1.004 (DR900S).

Enhanced Privacy Controls:
To access: BlackVue Cloud > Camera settings (vertical elipsis ⋮ next to your dashcam's name) > Privacy tab.
The settings are as follow:

• Share BlackVue location publicly (NEW)
• Share BlackVue Live View video publicly
• Share BlackVue Live View audio publicly
• Share BlackVue camera name publicly

Additionally, you can now easily toggle allowing the BlackVue App and Viewer access to your dashcam's GPS data.

Note that if you don't allow access to your dashcam's GPS data, you will still be able to use Remote Live View but won't be able to see your dashcam's location on the Map.
However, your BlackVue will still record GPS data locally (on the microSD card).

Scheduled Reboot support added for DR650S Series (requires firmware version v1.009 and up).
- Minimize risks of errors when your BlackVue is constantly powered by letting it reboot at a set time.
It will only reboot in Parking Mode and when nothing is being recorded, so you do not have to worry about missing important files.
- To activate Scheduled Reboot, go to Firmware settings > Other > Set scheduled reboot.

New features for the Cloud Viewer:

1. Bookmarks - You can now bookmark publicly shared cameras from the map (up to 20 cameras can be bookmarked).
2. Share Live View - You can now share your BlackVue dash camera’s Live View with specific users (up to 3) without making it a public camera.
3. A cleaner Map - We have introduced marker clustering to display a large number of dashcams while keeping the Map readable. You can still zoom in to visualize individual dashcams.
4. My Cam / Public cameras button - Tap the button in the top-right corner of the Map to quickly switch between your dashcam’s location and the publicly shared cameras Map.
5. Map design update - The color of the dashcam clusters now indicates whether they contain at least one dashcam with publicly shared Live View (green cluster) or not (yellow cluster).
