A spectacular event

The last Formula Drift event of 2016 in Irwindale was a thrilling conclusion to a season full of suspense.
To say that this event reserved viewers a lot of surprises would be an understatement.

Between favorites dropping out early, wreckages and outsiders coming out on top, the fans were kept on the edge of their seats from beginning to end and soon learned to expect the unexpected. Just have a look at the official results page for proof.

An educative experience

Taking part in Formula Drift was a great experience for BlackVue and we hope you enjoyed the show. As a manufacturer, we were delighted to have our dashcams installed in each competitor’s car, capturing the action and streaming live to the BlackVue app. We knew there was going to be a great synergy with Formula Drift, but we learned a lot from this sponsorship.
The BlackVue app was originally designed for the management of one’s BlackVue dashboard cameras locally or through the Cloud. However, Formula Drift showed us that the BlackVue dashcams and Cloud service have a great potential for more applications, including entertainment.

As such, we have already decided to work on improving the overall user experience for spectators and all those who want to follow their favorite drivers more easily. We hope that BlackVue will bring fans and competitors even closer to each other through upcoming updates to come in the months leading to the 2017 season opener and beyond.
